Send your name to Mars

The Name NASA’s Next Rover Contest (and the cute characters from WALL-E) encouraged U.S. kids to submit their name ideas. That step is now over and this week (March 23-29) we can vote for our favorite of the nine finalist rover names. Finalist names were selected, 3 from each grade range: k-3, 4-7, 8-12.

While you are there voting for your favorite name you can also submit your name to be included with others on a microchip on the Mars Science Laboratory rover heading to Mars in 2011.
